I just installed 2025R1 to a fresh Windows Server 2022 and I’m hitting on a weird bug. When opening my web project (made with 2024r4.2 on Server 2016), Xojo IDE hangs with “Not Responding” when the project opens directly to a webpage. The webpage isn’t even rendered completely, it might appear partly black, or lacking some elements.
However, if I had previously saved the project after editing something else so it doesn’t open directly to a webpage (so it just displays the Xojo logo and “No Editor”) then everything works fine, and I can open and edit webpages without any issues.
Even weirder, if I copy the project file to my own laptop where 2025R1 is installed, then the file opens without problems even directly to a webpage, though it does take a while to load more complex webpages (when opening directly to them, afterwards they work as fast as usual).
Haven’t tested with other types of projects as I mainly do web projects.
Anybody else experience something similar, or have ideas? Luckily I have workarounds at least, but would be nice to not have to worry about it. If there’s an option for the project to NOT remember the last thing I had open before saving, and IDE opening to that view automatically, I couldn’t spot it.
